Wissota Late Model Challenge Series
Mileage Conflict Force Schedule Change
March 4, 2021 - A mileage conflict between the Hibbing Raceway, a weekly WISSOTA Late Model member, and the North Central Speedway forced the cancellation of the May 29, 2021 Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series event previously scheduled for North Central Speedway.
"One of the great benefits to being a member of WISSOTA is that your night is protected by mileage," said Carson Gramm, WISSOTA Executive Director. "This is the case with this event as the mileage that the Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series would have had to abide by is 150 miles from track to track. As a weekly WISSOTA Late Model member, Hibbing Raceway is protected by the 150 miles."
There has been no indication of a new event on the schedule for that day.
"Normally these scenarios are avoided because member tracks can allow others within the mileage to race if they choose," said Gramm. "In this case the decision was to not allow the series race to happen within mileage."
